Olha Rubanova graduated in piano and musical theory in Kharkiv National University of Arts in Ukraine. She continued studying piano in Conservatorio di musica Giuseppe Verdi in Milan, Italy.
She performs as a solo concert pianist with classical repertiore and as a pianist in Trio Brahms with horn and violin. She played at different festivals such as «Women in science and arts» in Ukraine or Festival pianistico internazionale Lacedonia in Italy. With Trio Brahms she has got several awards like 2nd prize Premio di Conservatorio and 2nd prize at the competition Concorso internazionale di Stresa.
Her teaching style is a mix from different teaching methods, that she learnt from different seminars and courses. She knows well the Orff's, Dalkroze's and Bartok's methodology and widely uses it at her piano lessons.
She pays a lot of attention to hand and body moves, rhythmic tasks, sight-reading. She also works a lot on emotional sense of musical piece trying to make students play with liberty, joy and love.
